How would you rate Janet Van Dyne AKA The Wasp -as an Avenger- on a scale of 10?

What's a most memorable "Avengers scene" you can think of, ATM, that "she owned"?

How 'bout rating her as a mentor to Nadia so far?

For the reasons already mentioned - founder, gave them their name. Involved in a lot of their most pivotal stories. I agree as well that the Mansion Siege was her finest moment. I also really enjoyed her two-part appearance in PPTSSM (with Paladin), where she initially seemed flighty and shallow, but was actually playing dumb so people underestimated her. That appearance also established her as the chairwoman of a major company (Van Dyne Industries), a part of her character that is frequently ignored. She is truly formidable.

Unfortunately there is now a whole generation of new fans who have almost no exposure to her. They probably remember her dying without speaking a word in Secret Invasion as fall-girl to make a crappy crossover seem momentous (and failing miserably in that regard).

And a lean, silent figure slowly fades into the gathering darkness, aware at last that in this world, with great power there must also come -- great responsibility!
