I just finished it and was surprised not to be the last one to the party. I enjoyed it, although a little bitter sweet, this being the end (at least for Ewing).

I would love to see more of Monica and the good Doctor in the future, perhaps with their own new team. While I understand some people's feelings that the scope of this book was too large and dealt with too many abstract concepts I felt it worked and didn't mind having to go back and reread it a few times to make sense of it. At least I put it down feeling I had earned my $3.99 price of admission. And sadly there are few books I can say that about, month in and month out, with any sort of consistency.

Thanks Al for a fun, thoughtful ride.

I enjoyed this comic also. Monica and the Panther are what drew me in and I enjoyed all of the cosmic characters that were in the story - especially since I never really read Quasar or Thanos etc back in the day and I really only had a passing familiarity with many of them.

Throughout the whole run (I'm counting Mighty Avengers too) Ewing got me to like and enjoy Blue Marvel quite a bit. Like Jessica Jones and to a lesser extent The Sentry I've pretty much have come to accept these three reconned characters now. Hooking him up with Monica is a good idea because of their power levels and I look foreword to seeing them again in the future. Hopfully I won't have to wait too many years.

The inclusion of a few of the original Ultimates in this last issue was a surprising treat. I very much enjoyed the first two books of the original series and I'm glad that a few of them survived the whole Secret Wars thing (not to mention anything that happened after the original Ultimates 2). When I first saw them at the end of the last issue I was expecting this issue to be a big slugfest between the two teams and was was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen.

Since this was the only Avengers-related team book that I was currently reading I'm not sure what I am going to read next. I would find it interesting if Ewing would write a series with The Scarlet Witch but I don't really expect that to happen...
