Quote:Luke Cage is, without a doubt, my favourite Avenger of the 21st century.
No I meant characters who didn't exist at all last century; I.e., they were created in this century.
Nevertheless, I'll respond to some of what follows.

Dr. Strange - it was about time!
I actually don't like Doctor Strange as an Avenger. I want him to be the leader of whatever team he happens to be on. His role in the classic Defenders suited him best, I think.
To me these two should be X-Men. Nothing about them says "Avenger" to me.
Yes - I like Rogue as an Avenger. Mainly because she seems like a misfit wherever she goes, and for some odd reason, I like misfits to become Avengers.
Yes - I like him as an Avenger.
I had to look her up. I found her. See pic. Mind-influencing Inhuman. Oh - and she was created this century! Cool!
As for Strange, you can't very well be "Earth's Mightiest" without the mightiest magician. It never made sense to me that he wasn't a member.
IMO, half the X-Men say "Avengers" and would make excellent members. Sunspot has really been an asset to the organization. Cannonball, not so much, but he deserves membership more than many Avengers.
Yes, Synapse and Ms. Marvel are about the only NuHumans I can stand. Synapse was introduced in the latest Uncanny Avengers series. She very newb, with no pretenses. Her telling Medusa where she can stick her Attilan earned her lots of points with me. She basically sees Inhumans as a nuisance that have mostly ruined her life. She's also become really good friends with Rogue.
