Subj: Re: My bad. In that case, I'll go with Blue Marvel. There aren't many characters created in the 21st century that I like.

Yeah, I'm a Blue Marvel fan too. I like the combination of brains and brawn.

As for Strange, you can't very well be "Earth's Mightiest" without the mightiest magician. It never made sense to me that he wasn't a member.

I guess that's the weird thing about the classic Defenders. Supposedly the Avengers were Earth's Mightiest, yet the world's mightiest mortal (Hulk) and the mightiest creature in the sea (Namor) and the ex-herald of Galactus (Surfer) and the Sorcerer Supreme were all Defenders rather than Avengers.

IMO, half the X-Men say "Avengers" and would make excellent members. Sunspot has really been an asset to the organization. Cannonball, not so much, but he deserves membership more than many Avengers.

This seems like a cool topic for a thread all its own.

Yes, Synapse and Ms. Marvel are about the only NuHumans I can stand. Synapse was introduced in the latest Uncanny Avengers series. She very newb, with no pretenses. Her telling Medusa where she can stick her Attilan earned her lots of points with me. She basically sees Inhumans as a nuisance that have mostly ruined her life. She's also become really good friends with Rogue.

I plan on buying the new weekly version of Avengers come January. I hope Synapse and the Blue Marvel are a part of the story line.
