Didn't he famously say that there are some fans who take it personally that he's trying to grow these characters up? A pretty arrogant thing to say. DC's characters have been popular a long time. And will remain so long after Snyder is forgotten.

All of the sex and violence he seems to think are so adult strike me more as teenage fantasy. When someone grows from a child to a teen then they start focusing on that. When they grow up to adulthood they start to realize there is more to life than that. I feel like DC's characters started as adults who knew how the world worked and what was important, and from a maturity standpoint they've regressed to teens. Which probably makes Snyder the perfect director for what DC is trying to do. I just wish DC wasn't trying to do that.
