I hope in the Mighty Avengers they finally give Wonderman his due. Most writers seem to use him as "filler"...always being one of the heroes getting blasted or knocked out first. Jeez, he is supposed to be one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe - almost as strong as Thor. And yet, when do you see him defeating the bad guy or being one of the last standing? I believe he should be more powerful than Ares.

I was glad to see that it appears he can still fly and that he helped stop the Helicarrier (sic). I'm also glad he isn't all purple when he fights, but I think that it would be cool if when he really exerts a few purple ionic energy bubbles would show.

I know he is not the most popular character, but I have liked him since his first Avengers appearance in the 60s (YES, I am that old!!!)

The Unknown Avenger

I agree his should get his due but doubt it. The Sentry is the most powerful Marvel hero ever and he hardly ever gets shown as such. (haven't read latest issue)

I am also glad his isn't glowing purple any more though I am tired of that jacket as well.

If you are a Wonder Man fan pick up the entire Ms. Marvel current series. He's a supporting character there.

btw, Marvel is getting smart. They are using superhero supporting characters now. I like that.

Eh, Wondy's ok... he's been cursed with some of the worst costumes ever throughout his existence. Also he's never had much of a personality, except for being an arrogant, self-obsessed dude.

Probably his most interesting period was when he was brought back by Wanda in the ionic form and then toyed with having a relationship with her.

Currently he's on a team with Sentry, who pretty much does everything he can do and at a much greater power level. So he's a bit redundant, aside from having a relationship with Ms. Marvel (which I haven't followed since I don't pick up her book).

I couldn't agree more with you. Wonder Man has always been my favourite character, hence the name. I have always thought that the writers don't use the character the way he should be. Maybe this time.

I also hope he get a really good costume as well!
