Avengers titles are all the rage right now. They include: New Avengers Young Avengers (they will be back!) Marve Adventures The Avengers Mighty Avengers Avengers: The Initiative Avengers Classics Not only that, but cosmic characters have gotten more exposure in years with Planet Hulk and Annihilation and Uncanny X-Men going into space. If ever there was a time to go Cosmic, it is NOW! Here's the characters I would like to see: Captain Marvel (His history with the Negative Zone makes him perfect!) Rick Jones (founding Avenger) Hulk (better in space?) Moondragon Mantis Pulsar (Captain Monica) Starfox Living Lightning Deathcry Hulkling? And lastly- NOVA! With his huge power boost and intergalactic responsibilities, COSMIC AVENGERS is the perfect book for him to become the Avenger he was meant to be! DH the Lurker (And get FABIAN to write it!)

Quasar, Pulsar, Cap Marv, Sentry, Nova....these are all major hitters.

Quasar, Pulsar, Cap Marv, Sentry, Nova....these are all major hitters. True. However, considering the threats in space especially in the wake of Annihilation and the upcoming Conquest and the return of recent cosmic characters. Like the Stranger, Collector and possibility of two of the old cosmic gods. They would be needed. Lockdown

Quasar, Pulsar, Cap Marv, Sentry, Nova....these are all major hitters. Actually, I didn't mention Sentry, as he hasn't had many cosmic adventures (revealed anyway). Although, that negative zone connection would be interesting... Anyway, it only makes sense to have the heaviest hitters on the largest scale: protecting galaxies from galactic level threats. People on Earth save the universe too often, a cosmic team seems much more appropriate. Plus teams like the Avengers or the F4 only care about people like Nebula or Terrax only when they directly threaten Earth, which isn't very often. A cosmic team would be able to actually nullify alien threats for good by locking them up in the Crunch, and pave the way for humans to start colonizing the stars (very slowly). Plus races like the Skrulls or even the Shi'ar get pissed when Terrans stick their noses into intergalactic affairs (just see Maximum Security). Doesn't that sound fun? DH the Lurker (Hey, Hulkling and Living Lightning could be a couple!)

How many Marvel characters actually make a difference on a galactic scale? It's a very short list and a few on your list don't make sense. There are very few Marvels who can be called 'cosmic Avenger' and even then some of them would not necessarily want association with the Avenger name. -Nova, member of the Nova Corps and host of the Monitor computer -Silver Surfer, who is generally a loner anyway -All the ex-heralds of Galactus who didn't betray him (Power Cosmic) -Mar-Vell and his family -Thanos (good or evil today? who knows...) _Starlord -Quasar -Moondragon (who is not exactly the nicest person) -(possibly) Moonstone, given the power of her rock not a pretty cohesive list- the exheralds alone are a mighty group on their own, maybe that can be explored. > > DH the Lurker > (And get FABIAN to write it!)

I was thinking how events seems almost similar to the future that had the Avengers venturing into space during the Avengers Forever storyline. It seems that Iron Man now director of SHIELD, the next logical step would be running for President of the United States. As long as we're picking Avengers for the Cosmic Avengers who would also be inspiration for the futiristic Guardians Of The Galaxy: Ms.Marvel Wonder Man Captain Mar-Vell(you could have a storyline where he gets cured of the cancer.) Jocasta Sersi Nova Qusar(Mar-Vell's daughter) Moondragon CLANCY
