It's not that I'm a huge fan per se, it's just that there was such a big deal made about "The Return", it seems funny to me that there doesn't seem to have been any follow up.

Does anyone have any information?

Thx

They are prepping a new Mar-Vell series for later this year.

Let the dead rest. I don´t know of ANYONE who wanted the poor guy back.

This could only get moderately interesting if 1) He refuses to go back or 2) he gets his cancer treated at this early a stage, so he ends up not dying. That would be funny.

I wanted him back. I also wanted him to join the Avengers. I have always felt that he was at least a reserve member.

I wonder if perhaps Immortus had something to do with this. He after all is the Master of Time. Using the Forever Crystal he could create a Mar-Vell that is cancer free. He did use the crystal to seperate the Original Human Torch.

I wanted him back too... though not in the way they brought him back.

Considering the current maddness going around, I'd welcome Mar-Vell's return myself. But I agree, his "resurrection" was sloppy to say the least. Everyone suddenly turned into an opportunist concerning Mar-Vell's return. Something is definitely rotton in Marvmark.

I'd have Epoch cure him of cancer and appoint him once again Protector of the Universe.

By mean 'it' I mean 'it's hold on the structure of it's own universe'. THey can't go three months without hyping some story that never pays off anymore. It's not good. All the old Marvel crossovers went somewhere, but where is Captain Marvel? Why was he here to begin with?
It's fiction, there has to be a logic to it.

Yeah, where is he?

Hmm, even though i read the death of Cap Marvel and was incredibly underwhelmed just glad he died at the end, anyhow i still don't know much about him...

Oh his bio above it seems he is a class 10 (sort of J J Jameson level amongst most superheros, pushed around by rage and d man kinda level..

And then with the added might of the dynabands able to forecast rain if his opponent has a sore elbow and amp his strength to incredible levels...even being on par with greats such as mongoose or Kazar.

Have i missed something? It says he could contain the sentry? what with exactly? By making scary animal ballons?

I could do a wiki but i am very stupid with all this and want a more expert opinion from his fans as it sems lots of people are by reading the above.

So its all very nebulous to me about his actual abilities and everything is always going on about the negabands if his....is this a sort of green lantern thing going on?
The most powerful weapon in the DC universe (although my money is always on Batman and a blunt stick if this chips are down)
Are the negabands like those? Or like omega beams? Or what, how comes he can take the sentry on, yet being only slighly higher in stats then the average postman....at this rate it seems he won't make a future ronin.

Mar-vell's dynabands.. I mean negabands are linked to the Negative Zone where supposedly "the Sentry is powerless".

As far as Mar-vell's abilites, "the Kree Nega-Bands convert Mar-Vell's psionic energy into strength, a high degree of imperviousness to harm, the ability to project energy blasts, and the power to fly. They also allowed Mar-Vell to exist unprotected in outer space without having to breathe. Later on radiation treatment altered Mar-Vell's genetic structure so that he could absorb solar energy and convert it to various uses, including strength. He then relied on the solar power rather than the bands for flight."

Then finally "Mar-Vell is teleported to the extraterrestrial being known as Eon. Created thousands of years before to watch over the evolution of superhuman beings on Earth, Eon shows Mar-Vell the true horrors of war. Mar-Vell recognizes that his battles have been in vain, and wishes to change his warrior nature. As a result, Eon bestows upon Mar-Vell great power. Mar-Vell's already formidable reflexes and skills are sharpened. Eon gives Mar-Vell both inner peace as well as a psionic ability called "cosmic awareness", and designates him as "Protector of the Universe."
