Tom, any explanation??? I didn't care for this at all. Did they basically just wipe out Secret Wars II? And the infant cosmic cube thing? ugh! Ramifications? Well Tabitha of X-Force debuted in that series. Not a biggie but still. That's a huge retcon. Heck it crossed over into every title!

It's a possibility that only the Beyonder appeared that issue and 'nothing' happened: ![]() Since it concluded 'all in his mind's eye' - it might actually be just that until it is subsequently footnoted to the contrary. It would be a shame to pay for all that story and not maybe have one of the 5 involved too, so, maybe Xavier was the only other one 'there' and imagined the adventure with the Beyonder. After thinking about it, he'd be a better choice than Dr.Strange suggested in my DefMB post 'cuz Xavier was there at the opening and narrated about the mind believing he could've prevented Secret Wars -plus he got the Mind Gem last ish. It seemed off Namor speaking for Black Bolt and saying 'quite an %^$#ing idiot'. It seemed off that Bolt would not know ALL his subjects (even if it's 1000, I imagine him the type to know names). It seemed off that Reed was more perplexed about the situation than the others. And now that I think about it, when has Strange showed a lust for Wanda or a threesome?

I didn't read it as erasing SW2, instead it was a precursor to it. I could be wrong. But it ends with him on Earth. IIRC, Xavier wasn't around for SW2 - it was after he went up to space and was replaced by Magneto. > Tom, any explanation??? > > I didn't care for this at all. That would be Marvel's very own Tom Brevoort, who shows up on here every once in a while to set things straight. Good guy, and I'm not just saying that because he hasn't fired me yet. -Madison

IIRC, Xavier wasn't around for SW2 - it was after he went up to space and was replaced by Magneto. Xavier was there for at least part of it, as he was the first one to realize the Beyonder was on Earth in Secret Wars II #1, and mentally contacted Captain America about it. -Madison
