Reminds me of the old Millenium limited series(DC) with the Manhunters posing as heroes. Even infiltrated Olympus iirc.

As far as Civil War goes, it make's sense. If the Skrulls were to infiltrate our government to "conquer from within", then the SHRA would be the next logical and strategically sound application. I like it.

Oh well.
I was thinking Spiderwoman and Fury would be revealed as leading Hydra. They would get the NA team to join Hydra and take down SHIELD.
Oh well.

That theory wouldn't work. In Captain America Fury has been sending the Winter Soldier on missions to take out Hydra bases.

-bigtime out.

This doesn't make any sense. The Skrulls have been practically annihilated (pun intended) during the Annihilation. Why are they bothering with Earth when they need to rebuild their civilization?

I hate how the Skrulls are used. Totally copout!

I wonder if Bendis knows (or cares) anything about what happened in Annihilation. With this and the recent Avengers Illuminati I wonder where the editors are at?

I think as he wrote the illumanti he has a teeny tiny idea.
I thought the illumanti from the offest of their actions with
the skrulls in the beginning was an unresovled thread and now
it looks like resolution. So looks like the editors are doing
a fine job.

As any skrull sent to earth would be..well om earth during the
anhilation part so pretty safe, i don't think they would know
what has occured and even if they did little point in changing
any initial plans so what do the editors have to do to get a
little slack?

They should've know what has happens, since Shield was able to pick up some reports for Shiar outposts. A spy operation would have better commication between the spies and headquarters. Also what's the point of continuing the operation when your leaders are all dead?

Seems like a perfect thing to do because they were nearly annihilated.

I'm pretty sure he knows. He's probably choosing to ignore it because it interferes with his story. Happens all the time with many writers.

I was so caught off gaurd (For once in a New Avengers book) that Elektra was a Skrull I didn't even pay attention to baby Cage.

Now where in the hell is this supposed to fit with World War Hulk?

What else should they do? I haven't read Annihilation but it doesn't sound like the Skrull empire is in any shape to send an extraction team for their people on Earth. Since they're stuck here they'll carry on their mission, the only other alternative would be attempt to live peacefully among humans they hate.

They should go back of course. With their advance technology and shape shifting ability, they could easily acquire and develop a means to go back home. Why waste time on a mission when they have no idea what to do after the missions complete? Who do they report their success or failure too? For all they know they could be the last members of their species. If they waste time on their mission, their species could be extinct when they fail.

Not a really good idea since pass endeavors to Earth have been less then successful. It would be a complete waste of whatever resources they have left.
