1- Besides being popular, what reason does Peter and Logan have for being on 2 different teams of Avengers? 2- How do they determine which team they call if they get first wind of a situation?

It's irrelevant to ask who he will call when 95% of the time he won't call anyone.

Utter marketing, so that the numbers on the book would be inflated. EDIT - And it worked, giving the creative team a secure tenure. Unfortunately.
