I really wish Ice-Man would be one to take that step. He's a total team player He's been a Champion ..........a Defender ............Teamed up with the Torch for a while ............He's got tons of experience ............His powers are so versitle and unique ............Plus he's got the right mind set...(I.E. Not a killer) Not to mention, I think he'd look good in the line up. The team they picked for Uncanny Avengers looks terrible (IMO) together. What do you all think?

He might work so long as they don't put him on the same team with Spider-Man. ![]()

Rogue is a bad choice as she is the perfect Xman. Cursed as much as blessed with abilities.

I'm totally lost as to Rogue's current power state. Its been mentioned she no longer has Ms Marvel's powers, but she is often shown using them. You say she can control her powers now, and I'm sure you are right. I used to love the character, but since the Siege Perilous she has had very little character at all - in my opinion. There have also been some very messy rewrites since. For my money, Rogue is destined to end up back as the unkissable beauty that chimed so well with everything the Xmen were about back in the 1980s. For me, Rogue as an Avengers would be like Cyclops, Wolverine (I'm over it) or Nightcrawler becoming Avengers. They are just too Xy. When you say she would fit perfectly in the Avengers, I guess you are saying this because she is a convert to good. Converts work well as Avengers. Can't argue with that.

Her normal state is be non-powered, but she can absorb and (usually does so) the powers of others. Whole or just fractions. She lost Ms. Marvels powers a long time ago, but she did reabsorb them along with her EP during the last fight of the two. Temporary, I am afraid.

Rogue couldn't be an Avenger so long as she has an outstanding criminal record. As far as I know, she's never been pardoned for her actions as a terrorist in the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. She did considerable damage to Ryker's Island, and battled the X-Men at the Pentagon. And she didn't have the benefit of having been forced into terrorism like Wanda and Pietro. I don't see how she could be credibly admitted into the Avengers without having those issues addressed. Mind you, in Quesada's Marvel, continuity is largely irrelevent, so they can just pretend Rogue was never a terrorist.

The only charge that there was a warrant for her arrest for was a proven frame job. Wanda and Pietro weren't forced into terrorism. They willingly joined Magneto because they felt they owed it to him, just like Rogue willingly joined her adopted mother. And the Avengers have a long list of former criminals in their ranks. City of Heroes is BACK!

I prefer Archangel & Nightcrawler alongside Thor. Just see them through the eyes of the man on the street: an angel, a demon and a demi-god

Angel has never appealed to me and Nightcrawler lost a lot of his appeal when he stopped being the swashbuckler and became Captain Catholic. However, a Thor/ Ice-Man team could be fun just to see Thor refer to Bobby as a "little Frost Giant".

Thor/Ice Man would be cool. But "little"? Ice Man can grow or make giant versions of himself. The question is can Bobby Drake defeat a whole squad of Frost Giants by himself?

But that would be an interesting plot-point. She did maim Ms Marvel and tried to kill her. She did help break out the Brotherhood out of prison and committed a whole lot of criminal acts on her own, like attacking Dazzler for fun. So there should be warrants out for her. Nothing that the Avengers couldn't have taken care off or Professor X with his former FBI connections and his telepathic powers. But it should be looked at.
