I haven't been an avid follower of Bendis' Avengers in quite some time, but I read that Wonder Man more or less said that he was just a Wanda-construct and then disappeared. So the implication is that Wanda never had the power to bring people back from the dead, and was instead just making walking/talking facsmililies. So if this is true of Wonder Man (who Wanda "resurrected"), shouldn't it also be true of Hawkeye?

Never believe the word of a man with a known mental condition and a problem with twisting the truth into what he wants it to be. As Children's Crusade established, those revived by Wanda are pretty much real people, as Jack of Hearts was enough of himself to beg Wanda not to do this. Simon's just crazy, driven that way by his powers again.

Simon thought that it was possible that he was just a construct of Wanda. Not so much a statement of fact, but a belief he thought as possible. After being captured by the Avengers, Simon was able to escape his cell by vanishing, but that was simply to escape. Simon is still out there. Possibly to appear in the Ultron War.

Simon was also a being of pure energy. So when Wanda resurrected him, she was really just pulling all of his energy back together.

Hawkeye is a different case, and really nothing to suggest that he's not the real deal. But really at this point, you can't really tell the difference anyway so it doesn't matter. I'm sure it will never be brought up in a meaningful way. It's magic. Marvel doesn't have to explain it.

Well I haven't read it, but I think it was at the conclusion of the Revengers story that Simon disappeared (while imprisoned?).
