And please no Wanda incest jokes (no Ultimates).

I can only think of Storm and that was in AoA.

A part of me thinks Byrne wrote Northstar as gay because you couldn't get away with making Pietro gay at that time.

Northstar just seems like a slightly tweaked version of Pietro. Rude, possessive when it comes to his sister, super fast, former terrorist etc.

I'm not saying Pietro is gay...just that Northstar was written as a gay version of Pietro.

Pietro interested in women, Northstar is gay. There are so many discussions in the pages of Avengers Academy about these things too. Well, you can speak about it, and for many people it will be good to speak about it. For other people it becomes a problem if everyone tries to put you in one direction or the other. A Man (or a woman) can be interested in both, women and men and perhaps, want to let it be his or her secret.

Outside of alternate timelines, such as Storm in the Age of Apocalypse and again in House of M (where she wasn't interested), or Ultimate Quicksilver (and yes, let's not go there), no he's never showed any interest in anyone other than Crystal, and thus clearly needs to go save her from being married to Ronan the Accuser any longer.

And really, despite the efforts of some anti-talents over the years, it's like Magneto and his children all seemed to bond for life with their first love.

Seriously! Pietro is a saint compared to Ronan!

Eh. Magneto's a playa. Wanda's had eyes for others too. It's pretty much just Pietro. And it suits him, since he's a misanthrope.

> Seriously! Pietro is a saint compared to Ronan!

The whole thing has made no sense to me from Day One. In the Secret Invasion Inhumans miniseries, when Ronan demands to marry Crystal in return for Kree aid in locating Black Bolt, it really reads like he's just pushing Medusa, to see how far she'll go, and he's doing it for laughs. When her response is "Whore out my own sister? Sure." he's visibly shocked.

And then after Black Bolt comes back and takes over the Kree, they still force her to go through with it, and rather than remembering where her spine is and standing up to her family, she goes along with it, and you'd expect to eventually reach "Crystal realises Ronan is still a brutal blue space-Nazi and always has been", yet not only do they refuse to get there, they instead keep neutering him more and more into a "noble warrior" type. And the readers sit there still asking "when are they going to get to the fireworks factory?

When's that FF issue focused on them due out? Will it finally split them up and get her back on an Avengers team? (I can't believe we have so many Avengers books now, and Crystal/Black Knight/Sersi aren't in any of them, and US Agent and Spider-Woman 2 are off being Ruined Forever elsewhere).

> > And really, despite the efforts of some anti-talents over the years, it's like Magneto and his children all seemed to bond for life with their first love.

> Eh. Magneto's a playa.

He's had other relationships, but do you really get the sense he loved any of them, or anyone since his wife ran off and (presumably) died? His main devotion has been to his cause over individual people ever since.

I have no idea what's going on with this Rogue thing, if that's serious, or if "make peace with the X-Men" and "steal Rogue away from Gambit" are just things on his Bucket List.

> Wanda's had eyes for others too.

Due to either a number of times when their first love has for one reason or another been utterly unavailable, or because they're being written by people who shouldn't be allowed to write anything more complicated than their own names, both Wanda and Lorna have had other relationships, but never did you get the sense that they were ever really in love, or that if, respectively, Vision or Havok walked through the door and fought to win them back, they'd say no.

> It's pretty much just Pietro. And it suits him, since he's a misanthrope.

And all us misanthropes need our own superhero too.

But while he goes the step further of never even so much as showing interest in anyone else ever, the others really do seem to have bonded for life, even when it's really unhealthy, in the case of Polaris.
