Subj: Wasn't There An Issue/Storyline Where Sabretooth Was A Founding Member Of The Avengers (Along With Nick Fury, Etc.)? Retconning The Original Avengers.

I know that this happened under Bendis (Surprise!), but there was an issue (Or storyline, or arc, or whatever.) that he wrote where he had another group of Avengers forming before the original (The Hulk, Thor, Wasp, Iron Man, Ant Man, etc.) formed. I guess that this was one of those Avengers before the Avengers deals/storylines/concepts. It's a promising idea actually, but it's probably going to(o) be one of those stories that will never get referrenced again (Although maybe it will. It'll remain in continuity, I'm almost certain, the odds of it getting mentioned or brought up again though, I don't see as likely. But, who knows?), but I think that Fury was leading them, and Creed (Sabretooth.) was a member. What was that about? Didn't they do the same thing with Baron Von Strucker as well? Didn't they retcon it so that him and Nick Fury worked together once as well? Writers really seem to(o) go all over the place with good old Creed don't they? Usually he's a sadistic monster, but sometimes he's an anti-hero, sometimes he's an anti-villian, sometimes he's just doing his own thing, and sometimes he's just downright bloodthirstry and sadistic. But while I like the idea of him being a secret op (And him and Wolverine being partners. I don't want them being related, but I do really like the Team X history that was established between the two of them,) I REALLY don't like Creed being associated with any team of Avengers. It's one of those retcon stories I guess. Does anyone know who else was on the team? Thanks.
By the way, what's going on with Creed now anyway? I know that he's back from the dead (God---it!), but did they explain how he survived his (What was supposed to be permanent.) beheading. Thanks.
