marking for spoilers as a precaution:
1. The Red Skull or at least a version of him is back and on the attack.
2. His agents have desecrated Xavier's grave and stolen his body
3. Red Skull has removed Xavier's brain, likely intending to tap its telepathic powers despite being dead for who knows how long and cellular decay should have started, but we'll ignore that.
So here's an interesting thing that Red Skull better hope doesn't happen.......
......he had so better hope that MAGNETO doesn't learn of this, or learn of where the Red Skull is based out of.
Back in Acts of Vengeance, Magneto easily defeated the Skull and left him to rot. If magneto finds out what the Skull has done to Xavier and to other mutants, he will not only seek out vengeance for Skull's WW2 crimes but also to avenge his friend Charles Xavier.
Watch out, Herr Skull!

they did say that by the end of issue 6 there will be two more people joining the team. I think adding Magneto would be a great thing for the book. Here you would have a classic marvel villian on a team with Captain America. While Magneto has been a hero it was always up in the air for the non mutant heroes. I think this would add so much more drama that would make the dynamic of the book a great read. It would be interesting to see how Thor and Captain America work with a guy they usually fought against. Plus with the Scarlet Witch on the team he would be with his daughter. I am all for this.

Thor Cap Tony Wasp and Hulk teamed up with Magneto way back in the original Secret Wars.

I think that would be a BAD idea.
Magneto is a ruthless terrorist. Putting him on a team with Captain America would devalue Captain America's reputation. It would be seen as Cap using his reputation to somehow legitimize Magneto's.
If I lived in the Marvel Universe and saw Cap willingly working with a terrorist like Magneto I would lose all respect for Cap. Countless innocent people are dead because of Magneto and if Cap willingly chose to look the other way on that then he's almost just as bad.

You forget....history has no meaning in the new Marvel Universe. Plus having Magneto on the team is what books all need...added drama.

Shame since it could really open up the book to some exciting ideas. Guess that means what happened Xmen vs the Avengers way back in the 80s mean zilch too.

Magneto was cleared way back in Xmen vs Avengers (much better than AVX) back in the 80's and it was Cap and team that brought him in. There was a very pivitol scene with both Cap and Mags which made him surrender. Plus he pretty much got legitimized when they gave him Genosha any way.

I don't see how Mageneto is any more of a terrorist than Namor. Namor attacked New York early in the FF didn't he? How is an unprovocked attack on a civilian population any less of a terrorist attack? Sounds awfully like WTC. If Namor can be rehabilitated so can Magneto. In fact, most Avengers have histories that they would probably retract if they could.

Where Magneto sent out an EMP wave that cost thousands (Or so.) of lives. He did it out of retaliation, not as a planned or sadistic terrorist attack, but he has a point. And Magneto HAS killed since then. So, yeah.

And Fatal Attraction too, for that matter. Came out in 1987.
