when this book was initially mentioned there were multiple fights that I wanted to see.

instead a lot of what we saw were fights vs. someone who was powered up.

Best fight that I read was Thing vs. Collosusnaut (but would have been better if it was either Collosus or Juggs).

Which fights of the original non powered up characters did people like best?

Cap vs Gambit was my favorite.

What I think of A vs X?

Missed opportunity overall, poor showing by a number of characters, heavily X-biased, mismatched....

I skipped the last issue, I was so underwhelmed by Marvel's effort.

That was exactly my point. it was hyped as a one-on-one battles of all of the Xmen vs. the Avengers.

But it did not turn out that way after all. It was really a missed opportunity (in my opinion).

Some of the stories were definitely fun though (the Spidey issue).

The best fights by far were in the last issue.

In the other issues, Iron Man vs Namor was pretty well done.

Cap "peak human, my a.." America vs Gambit was stupid because Cap should never have been able to beat Warpath. So Gambit vs Cap should have been Gambit kicking Cap's unconscient body.

Magik vs Black Widow was stupid: BW shouldn't have stood a single chance in limbo and Magik shouldn't have been able to sneak on her.

Most were boring fights between boring characters who already have plenty oportunity to show their powers.

They shoudl have done Finesse vs Prodigy, Rockslide vs the Thing, Danger vs Juston and his Sentinel, Quake vs Syrin...

Yep, this one wins hands down. THAT is how Cap should be treated in the Marvel Universe. Gambit, although a very good in his own right, is just not in the same league as Cap. Period. his is not a knock against Gambit, it's just that Cap is WAY out of his league.

The fact that it took literally seconds for Çap to take down Gambit when Cap actually paid attention to Gambit was the single best moment of Cap we received in the past 10-years.

At this Risk of turning this into a vs. thread:
I really do think, and everyone can yell at me, that if he wants to and has it as a goal in his mind, there are only a few characters that can keep pace with Cap. Gambit is not one of them....Nor is Daredevil, Iron Fist, Punisher, Rulk, Cable or Warpath.

Those are good matchups! \:\) Especially the Grimm one.

Wonder what mutants get top votes as the missed opp match up with the Avengers in this banner submission? \:\)
