One of the main characters, Skye, was recently revealed to be an "0-8-4" an object of unknown origin that a small village in the Hunan Provence and several SHIELD agents died trying to protect. She was brought to American and sent to different Adoption Agencies as a way to lose her in the system.

Is there a Marvel Avengers-related character from the Hunan Province of China? She seems like a Mantis-type character. A highly adaptable person, she has learned to be a hand-to-hand combatant fairly quickly. Mantis is from the Hua Province of Vietnam. It feels very similar.

Is there anyone else she could be? Just cuirous.

She could be Skye, a character created anew for this series, so they wouldn't have to worry about royalties and whatnot.

For most of the Marvel characters royalties would not be an issue since the rights to the characters are owned by Marvel.

Marvel instituted a creator royalties program in the 1980s and has updated such agreements since to include money for film and TV productions; Len Wein, while admitting he gets more money for his DC creations used in film, has noted that he got a check for royalties from the most recent Wolverine movie.

In addition to what was said about Marvel's current royalties program, the creators of Agents of SHIELD would rather get the royalties check by creating their own characters than give a check to some guy who worked for Marvel decades ago.

Well they're presumably both half-Asian half-Caucasian. That's about it as similarities go.

Shang Chi's half-sister? But then Marvel didn't create Fah Lo Suee if memory serves.

Maybe the Mandarian's half Caucasian daughter Sasha Hammer? But then the Mandarian doesn't really exist in the cinematic Marvel Universe I don't think.

I wonder what the royalty check would be for a TV writer who gets their creation picked to be a part of the Marvel comic world?

I doubt any character created for the show will end up in the comics. I only see Agents of SHIELD lasting upto 3 seasons, with season 3 being like 13 episodes or it turns into a 13 episode series which runs for abit longer and that ain't bad.

See the recent Marvel One-Shot for more on that question.

Given the events of this week's episode, where Skye was injected with some sort of fluid from a blue man that was most likely a Kree, I'd say Skye is almost certainly Ms. Marvel. Maybe her mysterious parents have the last name Danvers.
