Scarlet Witch 007

Sigh, this ongoing title seems be going nowhere. This is a showcase spotlight for THE WU - with Wanda as 'guest star'. The Wu story picks up where Doctor Strange - Last Days of Magic Special #1 leaves off - or who knows maybe it preceeds it. *sigh* The Wu seems to be a mash up of John Constantine(magic user) and Maggie Sawyer(lesbian detective?). She was entertaining enough and beleivable - but why bother getting invested if SW is just going to guest star with some other mystic/superhuman du jour next ish. Ms. Gulliver's final solution against her Rogues Gallery bigwig, Dark Tongji, was not only nicely final but also homage(albeit BLATANT copy) of the AWESOME ending of Ralph Bakshi's “Wizards”. Sadly this chapter had nothing to do with any ongoing Scarlet Witch interesting storylines - ironically not even Last Days of Magic. Meeting various MU characters is good, The Wu included, heck - even The Wu's grandmother was more charming than Wanda here. That's the problem: not enough Scarlet Witch. *sigh*

Remind me how the KOWLOON WALLED CITY status quo was changed by the Secret Avengers arc? (Presuming that Owen didn't change that canon.)

Nice cover! Did you like the art, inside where we get A. Wu drew a Wu?
