Just wondering...

How exactly does lex view bats as an enemy of his, and how does bats view lex luthor?

How does the Joker view Superman as an enemy? And how does Supes view the Joker?

Lex views Batman as being a slightly ridiculous man (he wears a costume) who is a lot more dangerous than most people realise. He appreciates that Batman has made his mark without benefit of alien powers, but if he were to get in his way, I'm pretty sure he'd be confident he could crush him.

Batman views Lex as a brilliant, utterly ruthless, murderous, megalomaniac, and ironically it's possibly only his insane obsession on Superman that keeps him from becoming the massively respected man he longs to be.

> How does the Joker view Superman as an enemy? And how does Supes view the Joker?

Joker > Superman - He doesn't, IMHO, he may carry out a crime spree in Metropolis for the heck of it (as he did shortly after Man of Steel, when he kidnapped Lois, Jimmy and Perry to pass the time), but Superman isn't on his radar, and I doubt he views him as any more "real" than he views anyone other than Batman.

Superman >Joke - views him as a dangerously unpredictable psycho. If he's bad enough to worry Batman then there must be something extra dangerous about him, and he should never be underestimated.

The two have had one major confrontation that deserves to be recapped though: The Joker once tried to force Superman into killing him to drive the Man of Steel insane. He did this by poisoning Lois Lane with a chemical compound he claimed could only be cured by his blood. Superman doesn't need Batman's advice to know how dangerous the Joker is after that incident.

I've heard about this story for years, but I've never gotten an issue number for it. Might I entreat you or Icon for one?

Action Comics #719. Joker makes a cameo in Adventures Of Superman #527 which leads into Action Comics #715, which sets up Action #719.

I think The Joker FEARS Superman, but doesn't respect him. He thought enough in the story you mention to prepare a van covered with lead, but didn't realize lead would do nothing to muffle The Joker's own laughter. Joker also set a trap for Superman with a nuclear bomb (it MAY have been "merely" atomic), that would have left a huge crater in Gotham.

He KNOWS he can come after Superman with "big guns" that he doesn't dare touch Batman with, for fear of ending their "game".

Didn't Joker "give" as a gift to the rebooted John Bryne Supes a briefcase, that was full of a 40 MEGATON H Bomb?
Remember Supes had to fly off into Space and took the full force point blank to his body, with a crash landing causing a crator... It stunned him, the H Bomb and crashing back on Earth, but his only noticable weakness was that he could not fly back to Metropolis, too weak, but had to run?
Wasn't that H Bomb courtesy of the Joker?
