Have there been any Perry White and Jim Gordon team-ups over the years?
At least post-Crisis.

A good idea for a SUPERMAN/BATMAN issue might be a Perry White/Jim Gordon team-up: a flashback of Chicago Detective Jim Gordon teaming up with rookie Metropolis reporter Perry White on an exciting case in Gotham City. The right art team could give it a strong Will Eisner vibe, as well as showing how Perry and Jim were before they became the sturdy mentors we know them as today.
