I am so tired of all these alternate futures where Nightwing is still not Batman. In one alternate future Batman is still Batman. In another alternate future Tim Drake is Batman and yet in a third alternate future some kid that literally popped out of nowhere because of a retcon is the new Batman. What happened to Dick? Why has not Dick become Batman already? DC comes out with all this sensationalist overhyped dreaded garbage that they popularize in order to make money and yet they cannot get their heads around the simple basic idea of making Nightwing Batman.

I think every time they've had a possible future with Dick Grayson adopting the identity of Batman, he's met his untimely end.

Dick has never become batman because it would not make sense for his chracter. He is his own man, becoming batman would mean he would become second to bruce once more, and he doesnt want that, he wants to be his own man create his own identity which he has with Nightwing. Hes not like Donna and Wally who wanted to follow in their mentors foot steps. Dick will never be BatMan for one simple reason, he doesnt want to be Batman

Except he DID adopt the guise of Batman in a few Elseworlds and in the in-continuity book when Batman either retired or was off finding himself.
