Hello all. I have not been following the Batman as of late but have noticed Robin (Tim Drake) now is wearing a red and black costume instead of the original one. Is there a reason for this in the plotline? Thx in advance....good reading to you all.

I'm guessing there might be some sort of reason given in "52", it's a new start as the Dynamic Duo for both of them, Batman has a new attitude, Robin has a new costume.

Personally, I still really dislike the new costume, the absence of the lincoln green, the lack of short sleeves, and the overabundance of Bat-like tendencies (The enormously long scalloped cape, the bat-tabs on the gloves) pretty much spoil the point of the Robin costume.

Except A) He is still a child, and B) Robin is supposed to counterpoint Batman, not complement him to that extent.

IMHO of course! \:\)

Thx for the thoughts. I think it has something to do with 52 as well maybe it ties into the loss he felt over Superboy's (Conner Kents) death. Either way it looks like I didn't miss anything said solidly yet. Another thought what is the fabric made out of?? I imagine its at least bullet proof...or I hope that it is!

Now that you brought it up, I kind of want to see it. I'm assuming like everyone else that if there is an explanation, it will be in 52. It would be kind of cool to see it being connected to Nanda Parbat in some way.

I agree with Icon and D equally. I like the new look, but I think it's missing something important by not being Green and Red. The contrast has always been key in the past.
