It should have always been Dick Grayson and not this last minute wannabe addition to the Batman universe, Jean Paul Varley. Batman entrusting his identity and city to this guy rather than Dick made no sense. For me, it is The Dark Knight. Batman at age 55 kicking butt will always be my favorite, with Year One bringing up a close second.

Mine has to be the Knightfall series. > Holla While I enjoyed elements of Knightfall, it still represents to me a time in comics when an obsession with shaking things up and making things new and gritty for its own sake sometimes overshadowed other elements of story telling. But that said, my favorite Batman arc is only a three issues series; Dark Knight, Dark City.
