Subj: Widening Gyre 3 Batman written by Barbara Cartland Posted: Fri Dec 04, 2009 at 06:08:33 am EST (Viewed 203 times)
Is Kevin Smith mad or something? This is a TERRIBLE book that just gets worse every month. Issue 1 was fun enough, and Ivy looked to die for, but the second issue strayed into Mills and Boon territory. Then the issue ends with Batman being tortured by this Stirk person. I was like, ok that's alright, maybe Batman is hallucinating happy times and is really in the dungeon all the way from issue one. Maybe that egyptian looking superhero who keeps bailing him out is just in his imagination, and he doesn't know what reality is anymore, hence the flashbacks. But really? Issue 3 showed just how CRAP this comicbook is. Ever want to watch Bruce romping on a beach with a bimbo and seeing her top fall to the floor, Roger Moore Bond CHEESY and made me feel ill. Wouldn't have been so bad if the artist had had the balls to show her tits. ![]() So it's on my pull list, it's just bloody awful. Opinions on the book, and which Bat book should I read instead? P.S. The cliffhanger for next issue finally capped it for me. Someone knows Bruce has a girlfriend and is going to tell his friends. That was dramatic how? Interesting how? Amusing? Nope, boring yes. What a pile of goop.
