Subj: What is your opinion of month #5? Posted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 at 11:57:41 am EST (Viewed 599 times)
How do YOU rank these 5 number 5's that came out for the 5th month? How's the suggested order below? This month was just... weird. What did YOU like/dislike about 'em? Catwoman #5 http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=20956 ![]() Very weird way to survive the fall from that height - tried and true method but a little too farfetched given the height. Well, at least Selina hurt her shoulder (for a couple panels) where Bruce survived a similarly story-detracting fall in The Dark Knight #4 (sheesh, guess the Batverse is short on Batchutes). Other than that, more fine narration and characterization for CW. Reach generating any real danger was a bit of a reach but the whole dirty money scenario was very relatable and an enjoyable predicament to watch play out. Red Hood and the Outlaws #5 http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=20954 ![]() Nice art. Nice character development with Roy and Jase. Weird hair day for Kori. Crux could go either way. If the Untitled get any cross-titled references - then they may mean something. Nightwing #5 http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=20957 ![]() Standard ordinary human vs a poor man's Etrigan. Very weird how the hero escaped the demon's deathgrip. Zohna was throwaway - literally and figuratively as a jilted antagonist. Owning the circus has potential but still haven't warmed up to any of the roustabouts yet. Raya kissing Ray probably mean something. Batman #5 http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=20944 ![]() All trap issue. But was it physical or psychological environment - or combination? Weird. Every image probably meant - something. The image of the gutting was real powerful and the art in general was stylish. At least Robin's tightlip concern was... real, if a bit uncharacteristic. Birds of Prey #5 http://www.dccomics.com/dccomics/comics/?cm=20951 ![]() All P.O.V. issue. But whose P.O.V. had any element of truth? Too disorientlng(weird), however, that may have been the intent. There was a Magnum P.I. ep that had P.O.V. segments that was much more relatable with their much more established character cast. ![]() I miss Dan.
