Batman and (RED) Robin #19

This was a very good story with equally good art! Y'know someone would try to bring him back so best to get that story out of the way. And to do it during the mourning grief and in a one-and-done made it all the more enjoyable. The only "PROBLEM" was that Alfred's 'vacation' that Bruce sent him on was abruptly short - if not cancelled for unfairly unexplained reason.

There was so much to like...

• Clever way to keep the series title. (but will Tim be back considering...)
• Good teaser with Carrie Kelley. (my curiousity about the CK initials was well justified!)
• Carrie is a hoot! (Is she just introduced?)
• The title page image, title page title, title page surprise costume. (
• Bruce's encounter with Carrie and panicky retreat.
• FRANKENSTEIN! Not the biggest fan -yet- but awesome guest star choice for plotline and quirkyness. The tidbits on S.H.A.D.E. and those nether beasties was has me somewhat curious.
• Faithful, caring Alfred. Spot on dialogue.
• The whole Batman/Frankenstein 'dance' was entertaining. (never heard of CYMBELINE so if not their was a Shakespearean air to this drama unfolding)
• THE ARTWORK! That stitching layout, f/x in the castle, and that steely staring contest were particularly awesome. (may edit in that image as a new banner)
• Confirmation that Batman and Superman's 'deaths' occured in the New52.
• Tim. Red Robin was used well to save Batman. (wonder if that Lazarus Pit arc Pre52 still happened?)
• That cheque! (looking forward to Bruce's next exchange with her)
