Subj: Empyre - Captain America #3: (Probably) forgettable conclusion...

Empyre: Captain America 003 (of 3)

Cap fortunately probably watched The Wizard of Oz because he had no strategy but a solo head on attack at the colossal Vegi-Giant to strike down the Cotati Priest in control. Don't worry he (probably) doesn't kill the butcher from the stars, contrary to his pep talk to his soldiers, but only destroys the vegi-alien's magic staff that results in all the animated vegi-army attacking Mexico to fall (probably). Lots of decent action art in lieu of any characterizations. The Kree/Skrull allies were intentionally useless and any promised Agents of Wakanda or other backup, once again, nowhere to be found. To make matters more shameful - Cap lay unconscious and (probably) self-healing while untracked and lost in the aftermath rubble FOR 24 HOURS.

The only worthwhile green is the money that Marvel will (probably) make from this forgettable series. Not even a memorable Easter Egg - throw in any superhero cameos, like America Chavez, or IRL celebs, like Kim Kardashian, and Marvel (probably) could've doubled the sales.

What will YOU remember from this mini?
