Subject: How Would Each Of Them "Take" A Blow From iron Fist? [Re: Braugi] Posted Sun Feb 17, 2008 at 08:15:16 pm CST |

IF each one of them got "tagged" in the same manner as Luke Cage did in the posted scans by Daveym... How would each one of them fare? Caviat being that unlike Luke, each of them will be "braced" to receive the strike... IF still will be using full force of his blow, but they will be ready to absorb its impact! WW Hulk Current Thor Namor Spiderman Wolverine WW no vambraces, takes it flush Superman Sentry

What issue did this occur in? I remember an issue of Marvel 2 in 1 from (I think) the early 80s featuring The Thing and Power Man and Iron Fist. Ben had just put a pretty convincing beat down on Luke Cage, when Danny came in and hit him with the Iron Fist to break up the fight. Ben was knocked down, but I don't recall any evidence of him being KO'd. In the next panel that we see everyone, they were all talking things over. Is this the issue you're referring to, or was there some other encounter?

The "Iron Fist" power really isn't a threat to high level opponents. Based on the comics I've read (and I've quite a few Iron Fist stories in my day), on its best day, it probably hits about as hard as a LAW (light anti-tank weapon). Hitting a Class 100 type like the Hulk with a LAW isn't even going to slow him down. The Hulk is simply out of the Fist's league. > > WW Hulk > Current Thor > Namor > Spiderman > Wolverine > WW no vambraces, takes it flush > Superman > Sentry

If Colossus can take multiple class 100 hits from the super fast Gladiator he should take Iron Fist. All Big C has to do is start demoloshing the environment so Iron Fist is caught in the debri

I'm not sure what level the Iron Fist is at these days but going by classic portrayals Danny would do pretty well with the list below considering who they are... By the 80s the Iron Fist was pretty Uber and in PM & IF #113 we see him take a direct hit to Bres, a mystic powerhouse who'd been seen a match for Thor in Avengers #226 and the Iron Fist KOes him! There've been numerous instances of his rocking superstrong types and he's most memorably taken out the Wrecking Crew. The Iron Fist is mystical in nature and tied to his mental and physical wellbeing, not to be underestimated. When he punched Luke out cold he specifically noted he was pulling back as he'd have taken his head off otherwise which indicates he holds back the full power of the Fist as a general rule.... > > WW Hulk He's going to rock the Hulk here in all liklihood but Greenskin would shrug it off. > Current Thor As Above, a real heavy hit that drops him, but still standing at the end. > Namor Should floor him, whether he's out is an open question. > Spiderman Takes his head off. > Wolverine Out like a light. > WW no vambraces, takes it flush As with Thor, she'll be taken off her feet but get up. > Superman Given the Fist is mystical I'd say he fares like Wonder Woman. > Sentry As above. "LOL ...LMAO...*wink*... Guffaw... *sigh*..." (etc etc...) ...Oh, Did i say lol BTW? *rhe*

> If Colossus can take multiple class 100 hits from the super fast Gladiator he should take Iron Fist. You make it sound like Gladiator was speed charging his punches or something. It was a normal slugfest. One where Pete was knocked out by the debris for all we know. Besides, Gladiator only became the uber top tier fellow in F4. Before that period he wasent written at those levels. > > All Big C has to do is start demoloshing the environment so Iron Fist is caught in the debris.
