The Event that coincides with Infinity War? Back when Ewing was writing New Avengers, we see the following pages which reference "The Eternity War". http://postfiles6.naver.net/20160507_245/sksmsehdgur_1462551255582WB1Ja_JPEG/New_Avengers_006-002.jpg?type=w773 http://postfiles2.naver.net/20160507_177/sksmsehdgur_1462551255919MkCnK_JPEG/New_Avengers_006-003.jpg?type=w773 And in the solicit for Ewing's Ultimates 2 #9, we see the mention of "The Eternity War": https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/MAY170830 Ewing seems to be doing a good job taking the place of Hickman as cosmic lead writer.

Quote: He is for sure taking on big concepts at the top of the whole thing. And the Eternity war thing sounds cool (never really read the first images you posted). I thought I was reading New Avengers, but might have missed it. I have been more spotty at keeping up since Hickman left the title. I will need to dig them out I guess. I see America Chavez is Cap in it, that seems interesting. Anyway, I thought Hickman did great with the epic feel of the story, build and then the cosmic fall out of what the Beyonder's were doing but the end result probably could have been better. I am hoping this has more of a payoff. I would be all for it, if it is more of its own even or cross-over. I loved Annihilation and the books that came after that. SWs was alright but meh. I feel something about cosmic gods and the like going to war could easily be a major event. That said, I feel that much of the time the cooler things tend to happen in a given title. As big cross-overs become clunky and cannot always deal with things as well as we would like them to. Too many characters, many not needed and so on. Hickman's FF also has a pretty cosmic feel to it too. Look Raist bunnies...
