The current Silver Surfer run by Slott and Allred will come to an end after issue #14. I can't say I am surprised. I didn't think this style of writing and art was sustainable. Norrin also does not have the advantage of being a part of the MCU to get traction with the current readership. Hopefully, this will change in the near future and he'll get an exciting creative team for a more sustainable ongoing book.

Silver Surfer Volume 8 comes to an end.

Tom, who's more powerful: Galactus or a Celestial? I'd put my money on Galactus over any single Celestial.

This is totally shallow...but I only really liked Silver Surfer when Ron Lim drew him. He hasn't looked right in ages. I used to collect his series in the 90's but once they put bad artists on the book I bailed.

Silver Surfer is only a great character when good art is involved.

No, I'm with you. I think Lim drew the definitive Surfer. He had a combination of sleek design but with power.

I enjoyed it for what it was. It did seem out of place. Was never big on the art, but the stories were generally ok. They could have been less comedic though.

I do agree that him just doing his own thing hurt a bit. I doubt a guy like Surfer would ever be a big seller though, but it can help to be a part of events or have occasional guest stars.

I thought that his look was pretty good in Annihilation, Nova and that general series.

Thank god

Its about bloody time, this is the worst rendition I have ever read of the Silver Surfer.
Firstly they need to kill off Dawn, then let the Silver Surfer soar the spaceways once again.
