I missed Marc's first issue (I actually have it on it's way, thanks to ebay), so this was my first exposure to Guggenheim's Flash and I'm sold. Bart as a police cadet is full of potential I feel and I thought Zoom was well used in this issue. The last page suprised me, but the more I read this issue (this was my second read through) the more convinced I am that Iris *hasn't* gone evil but rather is using Zoom to somehow HELP Bart.

It's nice to see the Rogues again and I thought Guggenheim had a good grasp of both Captain Cold and Heatwave (I look forward to seeing what Heatwave and Inertia, along with any other Rogues who join them, bring against Bart though!). I was also extremely glad to see Jay Garrick again (as the Flash for Keystone)

For the first time I actually didn't miss Wally to much in this issue (his absence was noticable in the first 6 issues but Guggenheim has already shown that Bart IS worthy of the Flash legacy) which is a credit to Marc's writing!

The issue wasn't perfect, like many other people I have problems with Guggenheim's use of Zoom, Hunter has *never* been able to vibrate, and although this CAN be explained via time travel it's just unfortunate that Marc Guggenheim doesn't seem to fully grasp Zoom's power as it distracted from an otherwise nigh-on perfect issue \:\-\(

This title has definitly found it''s stide after a shaky start, I feel and I can, at last, START to at least see Bart as the Flash (he'll never replace Wally as the Flash I grew up with, but enough characteristic traits are being given to Bart to make him interesting in his own right now, at least in my opinion.
