I got this from the official flash boards at DC interested:

"Regarding the scene between Wally & Roy in JLA 10: THAT'S the kind of scene that I want to see between Wally & Dick Grayson more then anything! It was nice to see Wally & Roy interact, but if any two characters deserve this it would be Wally & Dick. They are BEST friends and here's hoping that Waid re-establishes that bond!"

Y'know when you think about it, Flashes(except Jay Garrick) have been pretty much screwed over in terms of friendships. For example, Hal and Barry's friendship pretty much got kicked to the curb in favor of Hal and Ollie's friendship. If you had only been reading DC for the past five years or so, you'd wouldn't have had any idea that Barry and Hal were best friends.

I think the last, definite reference to Barry's friendship with Hal was in the new Brave and the Bold series, the issue with Hal and Batman. Hal and Bats are in Vegas, and they're gambling (in they're Hal Jordan and Bruce Wayne identities) and Hal wins a good amount of money and Bruce quips, "If only Barry were alive to see you with money " (which also is a direct reference to the previous brave and the bold miniseries featuring Hal and Barry).

And Bart pretty much got reduced to second banana status in favor of the Tim/Conner pairing. Pre-John's era Teen Titans, it was obvious that they were a TRIO and that their friendship with one another was equal, one wasn't preferred more than the other and then all of a sudden Bart becomes the (even more)annoying younger brother while Kon and Tim become "The BESTEST OF FRIENDS".

And not to mention Bart's friendships with Carol Bucklen and Arrowette was thrown out the window as well. I was almost floored when Bart called Wally his best friend in his series.

And in Wally's case, it really bugged me that even though Wally is his best friend, Dick didn't once wonder where Wally was or even reference him in his own book or the outsiders.

Maybe I am just overreacting or looking too much into things but I am just calling it as I see it. Does anyone else agree? Disagree? Things that this was a waste of time to write?
