Well, they're a year old or so.

But, their metabolisms have caused them to age quickly...Iris appears 8 or 9, and Jai appears a little younger.

Iris appears to be able to phase herself, and others, through solid material. Jai can cause his musculature to increase drastically for short periods of time, essentially giving him superstrength.

It may be explained soon. I think there are going to be back up stories starting in the next couple issues detailing what happened to the Wests while they were away...

I wonder if one of these might be groomed to be the new Kid Flash one day.

The backups, "The Fast Life," start in #233, and are co-written by Mark Waid and John Rogers.

Hmmm - super excites the muscles of his body, causing them to 'reflex' faster perhaps?

Well if kingdom come is right it will be Iris who ends up being the one eager to be the next flash

Of course, if this followed Kingdom Come chronology, then Jai would be named Barry. ;\-\)
I would like to see Iris become The Flash in the future, though, just because it'd be cool to see a female Flash, like in KC. \:\-D
