Subj: If you've ever wondered what a Flash video-game would look like... *Edited for more info* Posted: Wed Oct 14, 2009 at 12:03:27 am EDT (Viewed 513 times)
IGN has posted up a video for what appears to be a "Flash" demo/proof-of-concept video game. There's no context explaining who is the developer, what systems it's for (it appeared in the Xbox 360 section of the site) and it looks very rough/early in terms of graphics and the only sound is the opening theme of the Flash TV show. It was just posted as "The Flash Video Game Footage". You can view it here. Despite looking rough, I'm liking what gameplay elements can be made out from the footage. Seems to be taking ideas from the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction pool, which is fine with me... as I personally would love to have a fantastic Flash video game. Hopefully it's a game that's actually in production with a distributor already attached and not a demo, looking for a financial backer (or an official 'go' from DC) to get truly started. *Edit* After doing a bit more digging, I found that it was a canceled game, as it was being developed by a developer called Brash which ended up folding. The footage was given to various media outlets in order to let gamers and Flash fans get a glimpse of a potential game and in the hopes of maybe attracting a new developer to back the game and the original dev team to finish it. Stinks, but oh well.
