Look at the ear wings. They're wings, not lightning bolts. WHY are they giving Wally (essentially) the way the costume's SUPPOSED to look, but Barry still has the "wrong" version? Plus, look at the chest emblem. Now, that's the opposite. They're giving Wally something different from Barry's and different from the comics. WHY?

I'm glad we get to see him in costume at some point (unless this is some sort of TERRIBLE tease), but I'd have preferred it if they just stuck with copying Barry's costume, with the appropriate areas being yellow. (Oh, and the open top to the mask too.) Why give him different ear-things and a different emblem?

Oh well...

Nice. *thumbs up*

As they are staying true to the original Kid Flash design, the actor may need to grow his hair longer to have a 'flip'. lol

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?

Maybe this is the Flashpoint universe version, so some things are different just because the universe evolved differently after Barry saved his mom? Maybe Barry's costume will/should be different too.
Just wild speculation on my part.

The surprising thing about this design is how well it is patterned after the original Wally West look and what Wally West II is wearing in the 'Rebirth' relaunch of DC Comics. Is it coincidence that the comicbook Wally West, as of several weeks ago, makes his first Kid Flash appearance in the promtional art for Rebirth and his television counterpart is now revealed wearing the same costume? I wonder which came first, or is it a coordinated cross-brand design?

The costume in those photos doesn't look very good in that harsh lighting but then neither did Grant Gustin's when we first saw it. I do believe it will work well on the screen though, the right lighting and so on... whether we need a 'Kid Flash' though is omething I question.

he will be there to make Barry a better hero.

Wally West is the Flash of my reading history.  The  ONLY reason I ever cared two cents about Barry is because Wally held Barry in such high esteem.

Maybe if Barry has someone to mentor ( as opposed to just protect and being screwed over by his supposed mentors)  he will stop being such a blockhead.

Of course, this is if 'Kid Flash' survives the reverse of Flashpoint.
