PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL #16: I actually liked this nice little issue, centering around the Gibbon and Princess Python. After surviving the explosion at that bar in #4, Gibbon lost most of his fur, while poor Princess Python is now blind! Mostly, the Gibbon wanted revenge against the Punisher for what happened, but he eventually changed his mind and let things be. Meanwhile, Princess Python's pet snake Pythogoras died, but she had no idea because she was blind and the Gibbon kept saying he was just sleeping. However, the Gibbon, who is now married to Zelda, showed his love for her at the end of the issue by buying Princess Python a new snake for her to love and hold and squeeze and call George. Aw. I thought the bit with Princess Python knitting her snake a long ass sweater was amusing. Of course, Zelda was a bit of a nagging harpy throughout the issue, but the Gibbon loved her anyway. Nice issue, even though it was a tad quirky.

NEW EXILES #2: Claremont does it again with this issue. First, he introduced an awesome new female villain called Bloodwitch, who put the bite on alternate Sabretoothe. Then he hints that Rogue may not have the same powers as her regular 616 counterpart, especially when Gambit kissed her without any repercussions. Then he set up some rivalry between Storm and the Black Panther. And then he made Gambit the son of the Invisible Woman and Namor, after which he revealed that this Namor was black! Nice issue all-around, with lots of action and twists. I'm very happy with this title and I'm glad to finally be reading a Claremont book again after a lengthy period of time!

SPIDER-GIRL #17: This is the first Spider-Girl book I've picked up since I dropped the title back around #65ish (due to money reasons only, really). I decided to pick this one up (instead of NEW AVENGERS #38) because of the introduction of the Crimelord, a Rose/Crime-Master/Big Man-esque style mystery baddie. Not only do I love masked crimelords, but I also love trying to guess who they are. I've missed this kind of thing, with the last major one being the Bloodaxe mystery. Right now, I'm going on record thinking that the Crimelord is either that doctor at the beginning or that Mona girl. In any case, I may be getting this title again on a regular basis, if the Crimelord story continues past next issue.

And that's all she wrote! Thanks for reading and have a nice day! \:\-\)
