I liked Kickass but for me the pick up of the week was Criminal 2.
The art, dialogue, flow - just excellent Noir.
These two books are two sides of the same coin in that they both play in the real world.
It doesn't hurt that it's got a boxing backdrop with some homage shots of Jimmy Ellis and other excellent heavyweights that couldn't compete with Ali and Frazier but would have dominated many other eras.
The the letters page plus the accompanying article reminds me of the days as a kid when Stan Lee made you feel like buying Marvel made you part of a cool club. Only this club likes Phillip Marlowe as much as Adam Warlock.

I never picked up the original Criminal but they hooked me the second go round.
