![]() So, yeah, I've been really enjoying Mark Millar's creator-owned book, Kick-Ass. I had the chance to read issue #3 a day before it hit stores (and more, because apparently stores got shorted 60% of their order and some haven't gotten it yet at all). And yeah, issue three is the best one yet and is worth it for page 6 alone. And the last page. I won't spoil it, but wow. So, anyways, I urge you to give this book a try! Issues 1 and 2 are in stores and #3 should be in some stores, at least. If not, try next Wednesday.

The book's been getting better as it goes along and they've got me eager for next issue. JRJR's art has been getting a lot more expressive, too, I think. ![]()

I mean c'mon - eight year old girl with a Katana?! I dont care if she's armed with a katana at all - if an eight year old girl fronts me up she better be armed with an uzi or I'll kick her ass, yet these chumps just stand there and take it. What? Were they dumb struck with fear? Alright she got the first one by suprise but the others just stand there and take it. Daft!

Millar sold this series on the premise that it is supposed to be the "real" world, but he pretty much threw that out the window by issue two when the main character recovered from his injuries with almost Wolverine like speed.

Well, I see where you're coming from -- there definitely should have been a much longer recovery period -- some months, at least -- and the eight year old killing everyone stretched credibility. But, c'mon, it's not something you see everyday, and I can buy that she was really fast and just barely got them off guard.
