Can anyone list some alternate Earths that fit the above parameters? DC may have presented an early version of this trope with Duke Dazam, who may represent a counterpart of the Duke of Deception. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Dazam

Magneto had the House of M Doom had the Heroes Reborn earth on the opposite side of the earth I'm SURE there are countless others

Forever Yesterday in New Warriors...the Sphinx (Nova villain) ruled the world and eventually left his "wife" in charge. In that world the Egyptians discovered and colonized the New World. In reality a woman who was obsessed with the Sphinx altered reality to make herself his wife. I loved the female version of the Sphinx...favorite villain of mine growing up because I loved that storyline.
