Rule the Shi'Ar empire, that's what. Black Bolt may own pretty much anyone he wants in a straight-up one-on-one fight, but Emperor Vulcan would have a vastly huger amount of resources to throw at the Inhumans in a war.

And since Marvel seem to be on a slooooooow build to Vulcan declaring war on Earth, which has all the makings of Huge Crossover Event written all over it, I'd probably be putting my money on him to score a win over the Lunar Leader, even if he loses the one-on-one battle.

Considering that Vulcan controls and refracts energy, and Black Bolt is essentially a very high-level energy projector, I can't see how the Inhuman would win in a straight fight either. Shouldn't Vulcan be able to just toss his electron bolts and energy-tapping vocalizations right back at him?

Indeed. I think the best BB can hope for is to either outwit Vulcan or overload him some way.

To be honest though, I'm pulling for Vulcan so Cyclops and Havok get the honours of killing Vulcan. He really should be put down by a fellow Summers.

Someday Marvel needs to produce a "War of the Summers" tale: Cyclops, Havok, Cable, and Rachel vs. Vulcan, Hyperstorm, and the AoA Cyclops and Havok (alo featuring special guest stars Adam-X and Apocalypse, aka the almost-Summerses)

That would be perfect for a summer event. \:\)

If we're let's break out the resurrection machine and go all the way with it, and pit Scott, Jean, Rachel, Cable, X-Man and Zombie Corsair against Vulcan, Deathbird, Stryfe, Genesis, the Goblin Queen, Hyperstorm, and X-Man's Zombie Baby. With Havok switching sides as he pleases.

But getting back to Vulcan vs Black Bolt, despite his energy-related powers, Gabriel managed to get totally wrecked by Havok's plasma attack last time out, and we have no idea if Black Bolt's sonic abilities would be something he could control or not. Gladiator's already proved Vulcan's vulnerable to a strong physical attack, which gives Black Bolt's Master Blow a chance, but if Gabriel's smart, he'll just set Gladiator on the Lunar Leader anyway.
