With all the announcements in San Diego, there are a few titles that I will be picking up however it means that I will have to cancel a few.

What I'm excited about the announcements:

- The War of the Kings --- that will be an awesome cosmic saga. I have been keeping up with Vulcan and the Inhumans since House of M. PLus I get Nova and GofG. Going to be specatular.

- Adam: The Return of the Blue Marvel ---- piqued my curiousity of a Black Super-Hero in during the Civil Rights Mvt. Definitely getting it.

- X-Men: World's Apart --- focus on Storm. I read the Black Panther and I love the marriage between the two. I hope Storm doesn't have to choose between T'Challa or the X-Men. Why not both! Intersting personal conflicted story. I'm very picky as to what X-titles to get.

This means I will be leaving a few Marvel titles starting next week but some of them I will just pick in HC format.

- Thor --- as a monthly too slow but in a one volume format, an awesome read.
- Hulk --- the delays and story flow does not warrant a monthly format, better as a collected edition.
- X-Men: Legacy --- I find this also reads better as a collected edition.
- Invincible Iron Man --- lost interest. Stark seems like a better character in Captain America , Secret Invasion and Might Avengers.

But I will still be sticking with BND Amazing Spider-Man!!!!!! I love the story flow and characters.

Really, the main story just combines two things that I care very little about-- Inhumans and Vulcan. I might get some of the tie-ins, because I am interested in seeing GotG vs. Imperial Guard vs. Starjammers.

Couldn't really care less.

I am interested in this. It only makes sense that she would have to choose, given her position.

I think the only other things I'm interested in are:
- Ex Infernus
- Agents of Atlas
- Cloak & Dagger

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this despite the fact that I think Vulcan turned out to be a dud of a character. Here's hoping BB delivers Master blow after Master blow to the lamest of the Summers brothers. Are Nova and GOTG involved as well? I'm wary of my favorite titles always being dragged into crossovers but I'll be there for this one.

Sounds interesting but I'll be skipping it.

There's always a third option: embrace death Ororo. This would be the only way I'd pick up any mini featuring Storm.

I've dropped it despite liking it: both JMS and Fraction stories.

> - Hulk --- the delays and story flow does not warrant a monthly format, better as a collected edition.

I'll stick with Red Hulk for a while longer. I read that Loeb promises that the Red Hulk is in it for the long haul. I don't know how much mileage they can get out of this character once his identity is finally revealed.

Still sticking with this. Carey is an excellent writer and I'm enjoying the focus on Chuck.

Fraction might be the guy who brings me back to Iron Man's world. I've liked the first 2 issues well enough but haven't picked up the third yet.

I'm glad you are enjoying it but I've totally lost interest in the character and title.

Yes I am excited about this too..should be cool

Meh..its kinda DCish..Marvel ha plenty of cool African American heroes they could just elevate..I'd rather see a Night Thrasher Mini, White Tiger III, Patriot etc..

I agree with BND, its been fun for me..but I'm still lost why it needed to be done.

Fortunately after 3 months of cold turkey I'm able to resist things cosmic, but I'll be following this. Of course it means Black Bolt isn't dead.. kinda dry humps any concern there in the current SI stories. Vulcan is like a GOD.. but Masterblowing his skull in sounds good. Inhumans VS Shi'ar.. fun stuff. Blackbolt VS Gladiator (if Vulcan didn't kill him) would be a better and more realistic monster battle in there.

Why not use an existing hero? They didn't kill ALL of them in Civil War \:\)

Me like option 3. Storm's as overexposed as Wolverine. Have Forge come back into her life.. or Doom. Doom liked her (or was that retconned to a Doombot? If Doom really REALLY loves her he can flay her alive and wear her skin as an armor to make his new 'masters' happy)

Yeah, might pick up trades on this if my other wells run dry (Loving Invincible but I'm almost caught up.. Dynamo 5 has a long wait for the next trade...)

It's probably Samson and he really should be Plaid Hulk, because that's the Spaceballs level of power he has. Those issues remind me of a Gatorade on a hot day.. it's gone before you realize you've got it. They're so scarce on content it's amazing.. and give credit to Loeb for figuring out how to get a monthly writer's salary for writing 1/2 installments and not having to do any research or make any sense at all with his story \:\)

So I take it the bullet to the brain didn't kill Chuck?

I lost interest when JMS took the book, tried BND.. and the realization of what a waste it was contributed to my banishing monthlies. I still say that's the most bone headed move in comics in decades.

Well good for you, but OMD/BND (and in case you're wondering, I have the first six issues of BND) not only made me go cold turkey on ASM, but also largely contributed to me cancelling my subscriptions to other titles and generally lessening my interest in Marvel comics.

I agree. I stopped buying Brubaker books out of boredom so I lost track of Vulcan, but DnA writing the Shi'Ar versus the Inhumans is impossible for me to pass up.

> - Adam: The Return of the Blue Marvel ---- piqued my curiousity of a Black Super-Hero in during the Civil Rights Mvt. Definitely getting it.

Cracks me up how Marvel loves to have books with the name "Marvel" in them. \:\)

I may get this. At present I know nothing about it except what you wrote above. But I tend to at least sample books about black super-heroes. So far my favorite of them all is DC's Black Lightning.

Storm appears in Astonishing X-Men and that's enough Storm for me, plus she never looked better as the art on that book has been tremendous.

I think the pace is going to finally pick up. I waited for issue nine before I started buying it as I suspected the first six or seven issues would be too slow for me. I bought those issues in a hardcover and enjoyed them. As you say, the one volume format was an awesome read.

> - Hulk --- the delays and story flow does not warrant a monthly format, better as a collected edition.

Worst comic in the universe except Ultimates 3. Sense a pattern? \:\)

> - X-Men: Legacy --- I find this also reads better as a collected edition.

I keep thinking about dropping this and keep right on buying it. It fits in so nicely with Astonishing and First Class as the third of my three X-books.

> - Invincible Iron Man --- lost interest. Stark seems like a better character in Captain America , Secret Invasion and Might Avengers.

I loved the movie and therefore I love this comic, which apes the movie.

Ack. Sputter.

Bagheera

...was the announcement that IDW has plans to reprint Larry Hama's work on the Marvel G.I.Joe title. (As I stupidly passed on the collected editions released several years back.)

That was one of the first comics I bought regularly ... with my own damn allowance. In elementary school, I'd force my parents to swing by the local 7-11 so I could snag the latest issues.

Then the Mom, while cleaning out my closet one day, stepped all over the first two years of the book. Yes, issues 1-27 were scattered about the floor as I had been re-reading them the night before.

So while I did keep them, they were never going to make it into my beautiful bagged/boarded NM+ boxed collections.

Always vowed to track down better copies of those books, but got into titles such as Daredevil, Captain America, Avengers, and Uncanny X-Men. And kinda left my G.I.Joe toys and comics behind.

(Actually, I sampled a few of the Hama/Bright issues of the early 90s. In fact, a cover image of Snake Eyes skydiving comes to mind. But I just never really got back into G.I.Joe.)

I might actually try out the Hama reboot title as well.

Black Bolt is one of the upper-level powerhouses in the MU. He should be able to hold his own against Vulcan, unless Vulcan can absorb his electron based energy. I'm sure any battle will be indecisive as Vulcan ultimately will get his just rewards in an X-book one day. So Black Bolt has to vent his anger on someone...poor Gladiator. A little Inhumans, a little cosmic/annihilation stuff, some X-stuff....a nice combo.

I think it turned out to be a Doombot. That Doombot was really digging Storm though. Maybe Storm is a....robot!! The real Ororo is still wearing a mohawk knife-fighting in the New York sewers.

Hey, you know Loeb was going to demand a high price for naming a couple FBI Agents on Heroes Quesada and Alonso. Maybe next year Clare makes a deal with the devil...

No. Exodus helped but his brain back together. He's still missing chunks of memory here and there. Chuck and Gambit have become wedding crashers.

Wont' get much of an argument from me.
