Subj: Correct me if I'm wrong here...

I've just had a glance at Marvel's solicitations for October. Looks like "Astonishing X-Men" is next on the chopping block. Can't say I'm too surprised. In a way, the bigger shock is that only one title is being canned in October; seems like we've been getting more than that most months of late.
Still, with "Astonishing X-Men" gone, does this mean that in November, the highest numbered Marvel title will be "Venom"?? Now that strikes me as rather bizarre!
On the plus side, it looks like October will be the first month in ages that Marvel doesn't have a renumbered book out, artificially restored to triple digit numbering.
Hmmmmm... Thinking about it now, will October be the first month that they've not published a "restored numbering" series since 2003, when "Fantastic Four" became the first title of many to make the leap from issue #70 (or thereabouts) to #500? Hadn't realised that before, but it looks like this may be the first month like that in over a decade!
