I'm reminded of that Simpsons episode where Bart and Lisa are competing in a Hockey game and at the end decide to just not compete and both walk off the ice. Homer responds by weeping that they're both losers. That same emotion Homer felt.

Thanks for putting that together. Neat to see in one spot.

Amazing amount of changes, many of them recent.

I dislike most of them.

Maybe Wonder Woman as that is just an outfit change.

That was a great ep, eh.

Pretty much all of the changes made by Marvel are superficial or are characters based upon, but not intended to replace the original.

Theres no way that Rogers, Odinson, Logan or Banner are going to be ousted from their traditional roles forever.

The likes of Miles, Rescue, Kitty-Lord and Kamala are obviously themed after popular existing heroes but not intended to replace them.

Nick Fury Jnr though - he's just a terrible idea...

Well, I'm biased. DC will never be as good as Marvel. Ever. But generally, I feel that the New52 was a colossal mistake on every level, in spite of there being a few things that I dig.

Superman: My opinion of current Superman is that he's given up and stopped being a man.

Batman: Not that I really care, but just what the heck is up with those shoulder gun things? Is that really Bruce Bat or someone else?

Wonder Woman: I actually prefer her right now, and I've come to accept the new suit.

GL-Simon Baz: Thankfully, Simon Baz didn't last. I mean, he's still around, but nowhere. A Muslim shoving a gun toward the reader? Just what the freak were they thinking?

GL-Alan Scott: Never care about him one way or the other. Don't like his origin or anything. As a result, always considered him to be the "fake lantern." It's so appropriate that he's relegated to Earth-2, which I also consider fake. Aaaand... don't really care if he's gay.

Power Girl: There is only Kara/Karen/whatever.

Superman Earth-2: Cool. But don't care.

Batgirl: Don't really care.

Flash-Jay Garrick: Kind of the same thing as the former GA GL. Those characters just don't exist for me. Barry will always be the only Flash I care about.

Pennyworth: There's a new Pennyworth? Didn't know. Don't really care.

Starfire: Just might be the single best thing that's happening in the Big Two, atm.

I've always preferred Marvel (and still do).

Given that your question is paired with this image of "changes" I'll be a bit intentionally obtuse and take it at face value: I think that Marvel has done a better job at increasing the diversity of their offerings. \:\-D

A few comments:

Spider-man: Peter Parker is still Spider-man, so this isn't really a change. I would have rather Peter retired and Miles just take over...

Wonder Woman: Not a fan of the new costume.

Thor: My favourite change.

Green Lantern #1: Not a change, since they're both active concurrently.

Green Lantern #2: DC gets reduced points from me for announcing that a character is gay... but only having the guts to apply that storyline to an Earth2 iteration.

Iron Man: Tony Stark is still Iron Man.

Wolverine: I honestly hope that 616 Logan stays dead forever.

Superman #2: Alternate reality iteration; not a real change.

Iceman: This comparison is a bit clumsy, since the 'real' Bobby Drake was still actively Iceman when that 'coming out' scene was published. Having read an interview where Bendis explained his thinking behind revealing Iceman's sexual orientation, I think it's pretty reasonable.

Batgirl: Best costume redesign since Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel.

Marvel Boy/Noh-Varr: Not a change. He just hasn't shaved and isn't wearing a shirt.

She-Hulk: Not a change. Literally the very same character (just depicted in a less cheesecake style and wearing street clothes). The most recent She-Hulk series was fantastically good.

Squirrel Girl: Still the same character, but the costume is a huge improvement (I also prefer the second drawing). The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl might be the best thing Marvel is publishing now.

Ms. Marvel: Probably the best change on the list. Kamala rules.

Starfire: Still the same character. Great costume redesign, though.

Great Caesar's Ghost, I didn't realize it was so many. I didn't think it possible, but I actually feel bad for the Hulk. Who's next? Charlie Brown? Garfield? Well, at least we can look forward to many more years of beloved Fantastic Four and Xmen characters. Its not like they would kill them off.......
