it's amazing they decided to show it here in asia first, no spoilers here but it was pretty satisfying. All the cinema houses here showed only spider man 3 and they were all packed with lines that had no end (people kept coming in). It worked well the way they timed the opening with a national holiday over here. Hope you guys see it soon. \:\-\)

dude you sound like you came from the Philippines...I am from the Philippines too. Well Spidey broke many records here in Asia...every country it was shown.

Aba.. well, I'm in Philippines too.

Yes - the long queues were really amazing. I doubt I would have queued up with those really longs lines. I watched it at SM the Block. SM Main building was much more packed than the Block's.

I'm glad I bought tickets in advance so I only had to queue in entering the theatre itself. (and even that had to have a queue due to the long line.. yeesh)

Where do you get the info on how well it made the box office?

I had to work late so I missed seeing the news today.

SM3 broke the opening day record by a huge margin...almost 100%

TV patrol says its

58 million pesos for the opening day record..previous was 30mil(SM2)

46.5 million from Metro Manila alone...previous was 21mil(SM2)

'Spider-Man 3' Grosses P58.6-M
MANILA, May 2 -- Spidey snares the Philippine box-office in his web as Columbia Pictures' Spider-Man 3 arrived in theaters yesterday, pulling off the all-time biggest opening day and best single-day records in history with a legendary P 58.6-million nationwide gross. This was announced today by Victor R. Cabrera, General Manager of Columbia Pictures which distributed the film.
