Man I really miss your work!  I won't be buying the new stuff for abvious reasons that have nothing to do with you, but I'll def. be looking for more of your back issues!  When these issues are old enough I will prob pick them up as well.

What "abvious" or even obvious reasons are those?  There are plenty of people buying and enjoying the current Amazing, so you'll have to elaborate.  Even the people who are boycotting have different reasons, so I have to say that you're making two mistakes here.
1) Assuming that everyone else knows your reasons and feels the same.
2) Not reading what happens to be (IMO) the most constistently high quality across the board Spider-Man comics since the last time Amazing was the only title (there's always been at least one "meh" title since the start of the first Marvel Team-Up).

I don't really care what the reasons are. All I know its a big, big shame to let stuff like that get in the way of picking up the book. Come on, it's Roger Stern, the best Spidey writer (IMO) ever! How can you even think to pass on it?

People say "vote with your wallet" and all that. Well do just that. Buy this comic, and Marvel will notice. If it does well, hopefully we will see Roger Stern write more stories.

I see your point, but by asking for elaboration, you run the risk of turning what should be a promotional thread for Roger Stern's issue into another of the many BND debates we tend to have. If you want to know more about Jim's stance, I'd suggest starting another thread, but it's probably not all that different than the stance any number of us have taken in dropping the book.

I'd consider myself a Roger Stern fan, but I'm a much bigger Spidey fan than I am a Roger Stern fan.

He's not assuming that everyone feels the same.  And while there may be many different reasons for hating post-OMD Spider-Man, it is rather obvious that anyone boycotting ASM is doing so because of general unhappiness with the fallout from that story; so in that sense, everyone does know his reasons.

You're really sensative (aspecially to miz spellings it seams).  I only posted that to let him know that there are people like me that may really like his work, they just have other reasons they arn't buying ASM.  I was serious, I really do like his work, it was meant to be a compliment from the "other side,"  and yes I'm assuming everyone knows my reasons and that everyone knows what I mean when I say the "other side."  But no, I'm not assuming that everyone feels the same.  As to your second point, like you said, it's your opinion, so...kewl...

I was actually assuming he was trying to reach out to people like me (yes I'm assuming there are people like me) who arn't already reading his book.  My apologies, no worries though, I will go back to lurking now.
