Spider-Man 2099 011

This was a strong issue and the content was interesting. The dramatic cliffhanger shows a lot of promise - which is good since the Maestro arc also started out strong but then petered out(no pun intended). The art could use more oomph though as it is just average here - dulled by the coloring choices and lacking backgrounds.

The return of The Spot was a bit weird but on the plus side it brought a guest shot by Spider-man 2015. The return of Scorpion -to possibly a supporting cast status- was welcome, as was the continuity nod to ASM with the prison plans plotline.

The dialogue was very good. LOVED that one of the non-churchgoing superhumans finally come clean with their continually catchphrase calling upon GOD without faithful sincerity and debateable weakness. It usually makes for a pet peeve but this panel was a joy to read:
OMG! \:\)

It's interesting to see Miguel try to piece together how history is changed to alter his future. And it's fun to see how he (ironically? hypocritically?) changes history with his actions to cure Tempest's cancer. Their initial dialgue and their final interaction were both equally fun reads.
