Silk 003

Better than pretty bad #2 but worse than quite good #1. (So this book is batting .500.)

The facial expressions and flashback differentiation was fine detail but the general art and blurred speed lines action was nothing special.

Dragonclaw It was a bit odd/confusing to rename him Rage - unless he was just talking metaphorically.

It may have been surprising to have the Return of Dragonclaw so soon in the run as he was shown as merely a completely average supervillain. Also it seemed odd and unclear why he took up the name Rage - unless he was only being metaphorical about it. His costume was more intriguing than proved to be and his henchman status did advance the notable Black Cat as Kingpinette plot. Plus, he shared 1/2 the badguy time with her more notable supervillainess presence and his character fate got some feel good closure.

Cindy's power showing with the car was commendable but her slowness showing against Felicia proved shameful. Her repartee shows promise but her conversation expositions with Black Cat and Ezekial were somewhat wanting. And while her decision with Porter highlights her humanity it also showed her civil irresponsibility - 2nd chance trope call there.

nb. There a conscientious cameo by a certain Webhead that preceeds a SURPRISE last page one by a certain fantastic quartet (all having a bad hair day)!
