Did you read it? What did you think? I gave it a shot because I thought Al Ewing did amazing work with the Hulk, and I thought maybe this would be a new take on Venom that was desperately needed (other than his original storyline in the late '80s, I've never enjoyed the character).
Without giving you any big spoilers, I didn't care much for it. Despite the symbiote's otherworldly origin, I'd like to see the book stay in the here and now, and have it be about Eddie Brock and his troubles in life, with the suspense and danger being brought about by this unpredictable symbiote. I don't like to see him hopping around in space playing hero and fighting space pirates. And what was up with that Kang the conqueror cameo? Kang and Venom know each other? Sheesh.
