DC and Dark Horse Comics are doing a series called Superman and Batman vs Aliens and Predators. Or something like that. WHY IT SOUNDS STUPID. These four story ideas go together about as much as oil and water do. OR MAYBE IT'S JUST PURE COMPANY GREED?!

> OR MAYBE IT'S JUST PURE COMPANY GREED?! No. It's worse than that. These things sell. Which means that there are tons of people who actually want to read stories where Superman and Batman face Aliens and the Predator. They wouldn't keep making them if they weren't profitable. Sad isn't it? Peter Svensson

There was already a Superman story about him vs. the ALIEN creatures, and there was a movie about the ALIEN creatures vs. the creatures from PREDATOR. Now we're throwing Batman into the mix.

Hell, about a year or so before the first Batman vs Predator was published, I had thought that it would be cool if the two had ever fought. Had no clue that DC and Dark Horse were thinking of the same thing as well.

Not to mention the Aliens/WildC.A.T.S crossover, where the Stormwatch team got slaughtered, (which didn't even made sense, considering that some of these guys were plasmabeings). Those alien critters do get around in the comicbook multiverse. And they still haven't anwsered, how a little chestburster morphs into a 7 feet large alien in a couple of hours. *rhe*

I think omike was just mentioning stories that featured Superman & Batman crossing over with these guys as in the current series. Otherwise he could have mentioned Green Lantern Vs. Aliens or Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens or Predator Vs. Magnus, Robot Fighter or Vs. the Dark Horse Heroes or Vs. Witchblade & Tomb Raider or any of the other multitudes of crossovers that have been done with the 20th Century Fox monsters.

The first Superman/Aliens crossover was good. I didn't care much for the Superman/Predator crossover, and I recall the JLA/Predator one being just plain silly (though I did like the scene with the headless J'onn). Haven't read the second Superman/Aliens crossover, or any of the Batman ones. omike015 :-| kandor.monkeylord.net (10.0.1.245) using Fortress Kryptonian Browsing Matrix v1.9.38 (0.17 points) | |

I didn't care much for the Superman/Predator crossover, and I recall the JLA/Predator one being just plain silly (though I did like the scene with the headless J'onn). Haven't read the second Superman/Aliens crossover, or any of the Batman ones. I think the first Batman/Predator was the first time one of the Fox monsters crossed over with a superhero, and it was actually good. I remember liking it a lot and I think everyone else did too. That's why they did two more and did the Superman crossovers. I did read Batman/Predator II and wasn't impressed and didn't even read the third (nor any of the Batman/Aliens). Superman/Aliens was pretty good. I did read the sequel and it wasn't as good. Not really bad either, just kind of generic. And Superman didn't do much, it should more accurately have been called New Gods/Aliens since it was all about Darkseid, Orion, the Female Furies etc. with Superman as more of a guest star. I also read Superman/Predator and I don't remember it being anything to shout about.
